September started off with a bang for the Northside Running & Tri Group.

Membership has it’s privileges, as Northside cleaned house in the Woodforest run for charity 10K & 5K.

Meredith “rolling stone gathers no” Moss finished 1st overall female in 42:55

Halley Pigford finished 1st in her age group in 43:45 (coached by Chris Strait)

Nikki “shot from a” Cannon finished 2nd in her age group in 46:04

Alicia “Cheetah 26.2” Anderson finished 1st in Masters in 46:13 (after running 14 miles earlier)

…and the Triple Crown goes to Cristina Gray for completing 3 races in September 5k (Run for Heroes, Bridges & Bases, and Woodforest Run for Charity)

The group is now focusing on fall marathons that include St. George, Chicago, Marine Corp, San Antonio, Rock & Roll Vegas, & BMW Dallas Marathons. Training has officially kicked off for the Houston Marathon - close to 60 members have registered for the 5K, half or full.
