That’s why this picture with Lionel Richie means so much to me.

Back in 2013, I had the incredible opportunity to meet him after sitting second row at one of his concerts — hearing the soundtrack of my childhood live and in person. And let me tell you… he was every bit as genuine, kind, and down-to-earth as you’d hope.

One of the coolest moments of the night was getting to present him with a custom Houston Texans jersey with his name on the back. It was one of those surreal, full-circle experiences you never forget.


But what stuck with me most wasn’t just the music.

It was the energy.

The passion.

The professionalism.

The connection with the audience.

The consistency after decades in the business.

That same mindset applies to real estate.

You can’t build momentum by disappearing every time the market shifts. You can’t become unforgettable by doing the bare minimum. And you definitely can’t expect “Easy” commissions without putting in the work behind the scenes.


Some agents are waiting for the perfect market. Others are creating opportunities regardless of the market.

Big difference.
